About the author:
I am an
American, born in the great city of Washington DC. I lived
most of my younger life and school years in Alexandria Virginia,
attending George Washington high school, graduating in 1967. During my
high school years, I was a Yearbook photographer and a school
newspaper photographer the last three years. After that I worked as a
Telephone Installer for about a year before joining the United States Air Force.
In the Air Force I was also a Photographer, for 20 years, retiring in
1987. After my retirement from active duty I went on to
study computers and ended up retiring a second time from that
industry.
Most of my computer career has been working twelve years as a consultant on the IBM
AS/400 Midrange Systems. Most of my work was working on upgrading
existing systems subcontracted to IBM from the computer company I
worked for. I also worked as an AS/400 Operations Manager,
Manager of a Computer Support section at one of the
companies, and a manager over a section in another company. I also did a lot of work in disaster
recovery and computer programming along with some web site
development. In 2003 I attended The University of Texas at
Arlington and received a certificate for completing a 44 hour course
of study for "Web Site Developer".
I am now the sole owner of a business called "MC Harman Imports &
Delivery", a company specializing in imported goods from the
Philippines. I am also a Xango distributor with a promising career in
this business. In 2004 ,I met and married Marianne, and
ended up building a large home pictured below in Bogo Philippines. We
have a lot of good memories in this house, but have decided to sell it
as we are currently living in Grand Prairie Texas and do not expect to
return for several years.
Our current plan is
to stay here and make trips to visit the Philippines about
once or twice a year, while Marianne gets her United States citizenship.
